We all need to realize that there are times when our faith in God is being tested. When we have experiences like that we can remember that God has given us promises like this one. What is it that God has promised? It is a crown of life. And who will get the crown? It is for those who love God. And how does one show his or her love for God? We show our love for God by persevering when tested. So, if we claim to love the Lord, we can show that Love by keeping on trusting Him no matter what happens.

“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” James 1:12 (NIV)
