“Finally be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.” Ephesians 6:10 (NIV)

That sounds like a simple statement of admonition and encouragement. It reminds us that our God is powerful. We read in other places in the Bible that He is called God Almighty and that He can do anything. This verse calls on us to be strong in the Lord. But the power is God’s. How can we take advantage of His power? Do we just decide to do it, and then it’s done? Of course this is another invitation to exercise faith. God makes His power and strength available as we trust Him, as we rely on Him for the strength we need. He invites us to believe in Him and depend on His power at work in our lives. Let’s do that today!
