“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6 (ESV)
Even we who are children of God by faith in Jesus as our Savior find that we encounter times when we doubt and question our own progress in faith. What began in us when we believed in Jesus happened because God Himself began a good work that proceeds until the day when we are joined with Jesus in Heaven for eternity. God is working in us, in our lives to make us more and more like himself. Since He began the work, He intends to keep it going as long as we live here on earth. One day the day of Jesus Christ will come and this work of His will be completed. We will like Jesus and God's work will be accomplished. In the mean time, while His work is continuing, we can be sure of His involvement in our lives. This promise can bring us great hope.
