February 11 – A Promise of Trust

“And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, For You, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.”  Psalm 9:10  (NASB)

Is it not something we all want to trust that the person we are seeking for help will be there to help?  That is our promise today from this Psalm of David.  This verse reminds us that when we look to God for His help we will find Him and we will also be helped.  David knew that God does not forsake or ignore those who sincerely seek help from Him. David was sure that God had never failed to help anyone turning to Him.  While it was a long time ago that this Psalm was written, the promise is true for us today now hundreds of years later.  We can still be sure that God will not forsake us because God has not changed.  We can be glad and rejoice that we have such a faithful God in heaven.  When we feel the need of His help and we turn to Him, He is aware of it and He will respond by letting us express our needs.  He will also recognize our faith and will respond by giving us the help He knows is best for us and that we need.
