“I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 (NASB)
This is a well-known verse and a favorite of many. We can be blessed by remembering it today because its promise is one we need to lean on every day. It reminds us us how much we benefit by trusting our Lord. The Apostle Paul, who wrote these words to the believers in Philippi knew well the need of trusting God for strength. We know that when we believe in Jesus we receive eternal life. This means that when our life here on earth is over we will go to heaven to live forever with God. But while we still live here our Lord has promised that nothing he asks of us to do is too much for us to do. God does not depend upon us to do what he has for us by ourselves. He knows that we need help and He promises to help us ever day in every thing – all things. He is with us to help us every day, every time we need it. The strength is for us and comes from God.
