“The people whom I formed for Myself Will declare My praise.” Isaiah 43:21 (NASB)
In the time of the Old Testament it was through the prophets like Isaiah that God spoke to the people of Israel. Today we have those words recorded in our Bible. The words of today's verse were spoken by Isaiah as words from God to His chosen people. God stated that His purpose in choosing them was that there would be someone who would be praising God to others. We've read these words now because we are sure that this is still God's purpose in calling us to Himself these days. He has called us and He works in each of our lives so that we might proclaim His praise and that we might tell others of His goodness and love. The world in which we live needs to hear how wonderful God is. When we realize how good and gracious God is, We also realize that He wants us to let that good news out and declare it to others.
