“But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me.” Psalm 13:5-6 (NIV)
The first words of this verse are addressed to the Lord and that is a true part of worship. We do need to reflect to the Lord our true feelings about Him when we realize how his love for us is unfailing. This is a confession of our faith in Him and it brings us to a point of rejoicing. Why do we rejoice? Because of the salvation God has provided and given to us. The psalmist said that he would sing to the Lord and that is what we do also. Our worship includes singing praises to the Lord about His goodness to us. We have the promise of a love that is constant, a salvation that is sure from our God who is good to us – so let's sing it out and rejoice today.
