“Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love.”. . .“These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.” John 15:9 & 11 (NASB)
Jesus shared many important teachings on the last night that Jesus was with His disciples for the Passover meal, and the Gospel of John recorded much of them. What would give the disciples more joy than to know that Jesus, their teacher loved them? In the same way, is there anything that would give you and me more joy than to know that Jesus, the Son of God loves us? When we remember that the Son of God was involved in the creation of the world of of the whole universe it makes His words about loving us so significant. Yes, He is all powerful and the Creator of all things and His love for each of us is so meaningful. We are invited by Him to live in His Love and be filled with His joy. What a great promise to carry with us today.
