“Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.” Isaiah 58:9a (NIV)
We know that our God is in heaven but He is not confined to heaven or to any certain place. God is omnipresent which means that He is everywhere at the same time. So when we pray to the Lord we are not praying to God in some far-away place. It is very re-assuring to hear the promise of our verse today. When we pray to God we can be sure, that He is near us. The promise is that God will give us that assurance. He will let you know that He is right there with you. It is so good to know that we can pray knowing He is in the same place we are – in the same room, walking along by our side, or just wherever we are. Remember, God promises to be right there with us when we pray sincerely and in faith, and He’ll give us that conviction. He’ll make His presence known to us.
