“Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.” Psalm 115:1 (NIV)
We are not aware of the thinking or circumstances of those who read our short devotional each day. We hope that the verses we chose fit each person’s situation. Today’s verse has words which are of course words of praise to God. It is our hope that whatever your situation is today that you can give praise to God. The psalmist gives two reasons why we should give God glory. The first reason is because of God’s love for us. We can all thank Him for loving us and for doing all that he has done to bring us into His family. We can love because He loved us first. The other reason is God’s faithfulness. Hasn’t He often shown us that He is faithful to keep His promises to us? So today we want to believe that no matter what you are facing right now, the expression of praise that is in our verse today can also be your expression of praise. If you do, it will change your day.
