“I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.” Ephesians 1:17 (NIV)
This verse is part of a prayer that the Apostle Paul said he was praying for the Christians in the church at Ephesus. He knew the people to whom he was writing. He knew that they had believed in Jesus and that they were children of God. Paul knew that they did know God but he wanted them to know Him better. That is why he was praying for them. If you have believed in Jesus you too, are children of God. Hopefully you have been learning about your heavenly Father but each of us have more to learn about God. We believe that each of us can pray for ourselves and others using the words of this verse today. We can keep asking that God will give us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation.
