“For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end.” Psalm 48:14 (NIV)
These words were written to be sung by God’s people long ago. We read in this verse the last words of this song. After singing of how faithful God had been to His people in the city of Jerusalem they realized that He would always be that way. That can also be our testimony. Our God has been faithful to us in past days and we can trust Him to be our God forever can’t we? He has led us so often in the past and we want Him to be our guide as long as we are living here on earth and on into eternity. Let us agree with the words of our verse today and go on always trusting our Lord.
