We must never lose sight of the fact that we have a great God who is involved in the events of our lives. This verse is a reminder of that. The psalmist recounts many of the activities of the Lord which have affected His people, and sums it all up in this verse. He believed that what God was doing in the lives of His people revealed His great love for them. We can keep this truth in mind today, too. God is demonstrating His love in the way He gets involved in our lives. It may not always seem that way to us, but it is nevertheless the fact. He says that when we presume God’s love in His actions toward us it is a sign of wisdom.

“Let the one who is wise heed these things and ponder the loving deeds of the Lord.” Psalm 107:43 (NIV)
