“Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.”  Psalm 115:1 (NIV)

Are you satisfied that you are praising the Lord as much as you should? Here is a good pattern for praising Him. They are words of praise, are they not? To praise God means to give Him glory. It means to make his name more glorious. But now we realize that God is in heaven and that heaven is glorious because God is glorious. How could we do anything to add to His glory? Actually, when we praise God that doesn’t change Him but what it does is to change our concept of Him and the concept that those who hear us have of Him. Our concept becomes more glorious in our minds and hearts, so let us give Him the glory!
