First David addresses his words of praise to God for His goodness and promise of His love. He warns those who are proud and then he says these encouraging words "be strong and take heart" to the followers of God. He had experienced God’s love and care in so many ways and he was anxious for all of us to have the same experience. Is not this the way it is with us, too? When we trust the Lord and see how faithful He is to us, don’t we wish others would experience His goodness just as we have? Maybe you are one who needs David’s message today. “Love the Lord, all his faithful people! The Lord preserves those who are true to him, but the proud he pays back in full. Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.” Psalm 31:23-24 (NIV)
