“Praise the Lord. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise him!” Psalm 147:1 (NIV)

If you are a follower of the Lord, you know what it does to you to praise Him. You will likely agree with the words of the psalmist. There are three words in this verse to describe what happens when we praise the Lord. We can say that two of the words say what it does to us when we praise Him. It is good to praise Him and it is pleasant. It makes us feel good and we are pleased when we do it. This is because it is fitting. God is worthy of our praise so it is the appropriate thing to do. Isn’t that why we are glad when we have praised Him?
