January 9

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble, or hardship, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” Romans 8:35, 37

We are used to learning about the love of God. We may not always stop to think of what a difference it makes to have a God who loves us. Today we want to think what that means. Sometimes we think that such hard experiences would show that God doesn’t love us anymore. So let’s just remember what verse 37 says. Difficulties don’t separate us from His love. It’s still with us and will bring us through victorious and more than victorious! Isn’t that what it means to be more than conquerors? Conquerors and still grounded by faith.
