So then when we do that the peace of God comes to guard our hearts and minds. I’m impressed by the thought of God’s peace being a GUARD around us. What are guards for? They are stationed to protect valuable things from marauders, from thieves, for instance. Our hearts and minds need a guard because there are thoughts and feelings which want to disturb us. So God gives you His peace to keep such things away.
