“Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 (ESV)
You who follow this daily blog may have heard this verse before but it may also be a new truth from the Bible for some. It teaches and reminds us to turn to God in prayer when we need His help. We are using this verse today to help us remember how great our God is. Our verse speaks of the Throne of Grace. The one who sits on a throne is a king. A throne speaks of power and of authority. Yes, friends, our God has great power and authority and demands justice. But, He is also very gracious and loving and merciful. The throne our God sits on is a Throne of Grace. So when we do approach Him for help, He is not only able to help, He longs to help us. Because of His mercy and grace, He has promised to help us when we come to him. If you need help from God, He promises to give it to you – you can have confidence in that promise.
