“Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.” Psalm 9:10 (NIV)
This particular song from the book of Psalms has expressions of praise about God. In the tenth verse, the words are addressed to God. The psalmist was, of course including himself in this verse. He trusted in God because of the way God had treated Him. It was fulfillment of a promise from God for the psalmist and for us as well. We who believe in Jesus as our Savior are among “those who know your name” and “trust in you.” God has been faithful to us as He was to David. As we turn to Him and look to Him to help us He will never leave us and never forsake us. His faithfulness and His care for us leads us to truth in Him. Today, let's trust in Him and thank Him for this promise.
