“Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!” Isaiah 30:8 (NIV)
We can be so glad and thankful that the Lord in heaven has given us the Bible which reveals to us what He is like. He is a God of justice. He wants things to be done the right way and He has given us many reminders in the Bible of the way He wants things handled. And, yet He is a gracious God and we are reminded in our verse that He longs to help us live right. He knows our weaknesses and our inability to always be right. He calls on us to recognize our need for His help. To experience His grace and His love we must turn to Him for help. Let's keep in mind the promise that He will rise up to show us compassion.
