“And it will be said in that day, “Behold, this is our God for whom we have waited that He might save us. This is the Lord for whom we have waited; Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation.”” Isaiah 25:9 (NASB)
The verse with our promise for today expresses the feelings of those who find God's faithfulness real in their lives. It is a prediction made by the prophet Isaiah who may have had some special future day of thanksgiving in mind. We believe though, that these words can be true over and over again for us even these days. Even today we are waiting in anticipation for Christ to fulfill promises we have found in the Bible. When we trust God to show His love for us in some way and then realize that He is actually helping us, doesn't it give us joy? Doesn't it make our Lord more real to us? Don't we feel then like says as the prophet predicted “Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation”?
