March 29 – Hope is Expectation

“Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.” Psalm 31:24 (NIV)

Today we share a short but very powerful verse of encouragement. These are the final words in this Psalm by David. They are for all of us who look to God expecting something from Him. We don’t have to wonder if this song from 3000 years ago applies to us is our modern day. They apply to all who hope in the Lord. Do you hope in the Lord today? Remember that when the Bible uses the word “hope” it is indicating expectation.  We look to God expecting Him to help and He will. He will give us strength and we can have our hearts encouraged by that promise. Therefore my friend if you are sometimes tempted to think you can’t make it, then turn to God expecting Him to help you. He will respond and you will be strengthened.
