“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13 (NIV)
In the Old Testament of our Bible God often would communicate His promises to His people through His prophets. The verse we have today is a promise that came through Jeremiah in a letter he wrote to the children of Israel who had been taken captive to Babylon. The captivity was a result of the people forgetting God and going their own way. But God still longed for them to seek Him, to come back to Him with changed hearts. God has the same desire for us to seek him. If and when we seek God with our whole heart God has promised that He will show us His love and reveal Himself to us. We will know that God is with us if our motive is right because He will be right there with us. How can we seek God with our whole heart today?
