December 5

“No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength… But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,” Psalm 33:16 & 18 (NIV)

The central lesson of these words is that we should not depend on human effort to solve our problems. We need rather to put our trust in our God and in His great love. Is it not reassuring to read that the eyes of the Lord are watching His own?  And who is it that He is watching? He is watching those who reverence Him and give Him the respect that He should have. It also tells that he is watching over those whose hope and expectation is in His unfailing love. Are you expecting God to always and forever love you? If so, you can know His eyes are on your today.
