We should not wonder how it is that God keep His promises. It is because of who His is. We know that He is a holy God. He is perfect. If He should make a statement which was not true, He would not be holy. He would not be God. When He gives a promise we can know that He will not act contrary to His own character. The verse today tells us another reason why He keeps his promises. It is because He loves us. He wants us to be able to depend on His word. Has God given you some special promise which you have believed for a long time? Keep on believing because He is faithful!

“The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.” Psalm 145:13b (NIV)
