“Do not be far from me, for trouble is near and there is no one to help.” Psalm 22:11 (NIV)
Although we may not have the details reported on how exactly God answered this prayer, we can still read it to encourage us. We believe that God has preserved the Word to do just that. I believe that God did answer this prayer of David’s and He will answer it for us when we ask Him. He knows when trouble is near to His own and He will be near, very near at times like that. So this is a prayer that we can pray in perfect confidence. Although these words are not in a form of a promise, yet God has allowed the prayer to be included because He has already promised to be always with His own. So be encouraged to pray as David did whenever you need it.
