“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.” Jeremiah 17:7-8a (NIV)
After warning against depending on human efforts and abilities, God makes this promise. The roots of a tree grow out to find where the moisture is. If the tree is close to a stream its roods will grow out in that direction and they will not be disappointed. They will draw in the moisture. As we trust in the Lord our faith will reach out toward Him and we will not be disappointed. There will be results. There will be blessing from the Lord. We will experience the blessing of knowing His nearness and His ability to satisfy completely. So send out your roots of faith today toward the Lord and trust Him.
