These words are some of David’s very last words. Let us see what he said about God’s promises to him. He could look back on his life with perfect assurance that what God had promised would come true. As he came to the end he had not doubt whatever in the faithfulness of God and His promises. As God had been faithful, He would continue. And this included all the details of the things God had promised for his family and for the people he had ruled as king.
