Let us think today especially of the last part of this verse – about the tears being wiped away. We recognize that there are tears in this world, even for believers. When we accept Jesus as Savior He does give us a new joy. The Holy Spirit comes to live in us and one of the fruits of the Spirit is joy. Even so we do have experiences that bring tears. We do have our moments of sorrow. But on the other side it will be different. Who makes it different? It’s God, the Father, who will wipe away the tears.

“For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” Revelation 7:17 (NIV)
