“And the Lord said to Moses, ‘I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.’”  Exodus 33:17 (NIV)

Moses had asked God to go with him as he led the people of Israel to the Promised Land. What a wonderful answer to prayer! God agreed to go with Moses just as he had prayed. Moses had asked God to go with him this was pleasing to the Lord; God wants to be with His children today, too. When we ask Him to be with us, He is pleased with our request. And, as God told Moses that He knew his name, so He knows us by name. He knows your name and He knows mine. And He wants to be with us today.  When we ask for His presence He will say to us as he said to Moses, “I will do what you ask.”
