April 9

“Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations.” Psalm 90:1 (NIV)

The 90th Psalm is a prayer by Moses which has been used as a song. We know that Moses lived in many different places during his long life. He lived in the palace when he was adopted by the princess in Egypt. He lived in temporary quarters while out caring for the sheep until God called him at the burning bush. And he spent years living in tents out in the wilderness. But Moses said that God was his dwelling place, and of course He was talking about living by faith. Whatever his earthly situation he could find rest in his God. Are you resting in the Lord today? If you are depending on Him, He is your dwelling place.
