“But He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:19 (NIV)

Paul writes about his experiences with a physical problem about which he prayed to the Lord three times. Look at the verse. Isn’t that the way it works with us too? When we think we’re doing alright on our own, God doesn’t have a chance to show us what He can do for us. We need to get to the point where we realize that we can’t make it on our own. We have to realize our weakness and lack of ability. Then God can show us His ability and His power. Paul wasn’t ashamed to admit his weakness. He goes on to say, “For when I am weak, then I am strong.” He believed what God had told him was true.
